Cousins Properties, Inc. (NYSE: CUZ) named R. Dary Stone vice chairman. Stone served as president of the company's Texas operations since January 2001. Senior vice president John S. McColl assumed the additional role of president for Cousin's Texas operations. Tom G. Charlesworth added the post of CFO to his duties as executive vice president and chief investment officer. Michael A. Quinlan joined the company as senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer. Former president and chief operating officer Daniel DuPree rejoined Cousins as vice chairman of development.
Duke Realty Corporation's (NYSE: DRE) Thomas Hefner will relinquish his role as chief executive officer by April 30, 2004, and will retire as chairman of the board by April 30, 2005, after serving with the company for 25 years. Additionally, John Guinee was promoted to executive vice president and chief investment officer. Guinee formerly held these titles at Charles E. Smith Realty.
W. Edward Walter was promoted to CFO of Host Marriott Corporation (NYSE: HMT). Robert E. Parsons, Jr., who has been CFO since 1995, left the company to pursue other opportunities. Also, Larry Harvey joined Host Marriott as senior vice president and corporate controller.
Jerome J. Kraisinger joined MeriStar Hospitality Corporation (NYSE: MHX) as general counsel and corporate secretary. Also, Bruce Riggins was promoted to vice president, strategic planning and analysis.
Post Properties, Inc. (NYSE: PPS) elected Robert Goddard chairman, replacing John Williams, who remains chairman emeritus. John Glover stepped down as vice chairman, but will remain on the company's board.
ProLogis (NYSE: PLD) announced leadership changes to take effect on Dec. 31, 2004. K. Dane Brooksher will relinquish his role as CEO, and will remain chairman of the board. Irving F. "Bud" Lyons, III will relinquish his role as vice chairman and chief investment officer, and will remain a member of the board of trustees and serve as chairman of the board's investment committee. The company's board of trustees and senior management team are actively involved in succession planning. Additionally, Edward S. Nekritz was promoted to managing director, and will retain his current roles of senior vice president, general counsel and secretary.
Shurgard Storage Centers, Inc. (NYSE: SHU) promoted executive vice president and chairman of Shurgard Europe David K. Grant to president and chief operating officer, effective August 1.

Universal Health Realty Income Trust, Inc. (NYSE: UHT) appointed chairman and CEO Alan B. Miller to the additional post of president. Also, vice president and controller Charles Boyle was appointed to the additional post of CFO.
Debra A. Cafaro, CEO of Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR), was elected to the additional post of chairman of the board. Cafaro replaces Ventas founder and former CEO W. Bruce Lunsford, who resigned from the board to review his options for the upcoming gubernatorial race in Kentucky.
