Hotel Pioneer Dies
Hervey Feldman, co-founder and chairman emeritus of FelCor Lodging Trust Incorporated (NYSE: FCH), died Sept. 7 at the age of 67. In 1991, Feldman co-founded FelCor, Inc. with Thomas J. Corcoran, Jr., the company's current president and CEO.
Feldman was widely known as the "father of Embassy Suites," and founder of several hotel companies (including Sunbelt Hospitality Corporation and Residence Inns). He was the founding president and CEO of Embassy Suites, Inc., (from 1983 to 1990) and later served as chairman of the board until 1992. Feldman worked in the lodging industry for 42 years.

Prime Group Realty Trust (NYSE:PGE) announced Stephen J. Nardi's retirement from his position as chairman
of the board. Nardi will be replaced by Douglas Crocker II and will continue to serve as a member of the board. Also,
Jeffrey A. Patterson has been named CEO and president.
Former NAREIT Board of Governor member Karen Knudson will be leaving RREEF Funds at the end of the year. Former RREEF portfolio manager John Vojticek will be returning to the company.
Ending its 11-month search, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide (NYSE: HOT) named Steven Heyer, former president and COO of Coke, as its new CEO. Executive chairman and former CEO Barry Sternlicht's decision to reduce his day-to-day involvement with the company prompted the company's search.

Steve Kieras was named president of development of Taubman Centers Inc. (NYSE: TCO), replacing retiree John Simon.
Trizec Properties, Inc. (NYSE: TRZ) announced that Chief Investment Officer Casey Wold resigned to pursue other interests. The company has begun a search for his replacement and in the interim the investment staff will report directly to Timothy Callahan, president and CEO.
