NAREIT announced the winners of its Annual Report Contest during NAREIT’s REITWeek™ 2007 Investor Forum in June. The competition was open to all NAREIT members and judged companies’ annual reports in three categories: management discussion and analysis, presentation and design. A nine-judge panel presented awards in each category for companies in both large cap and small cap division.
For the large cap companies, the winners in the management discussion and analysis category were Regency Centers Corporation (NYSE: REG) with the gold, Kimco Realty Corporation (NYSE: KIM) the silver and Archstone-Smith (NYSE: ASN) the bronze. For the presentation and design category, Camden Property Trust (NYSE: CPT) was awarded the gold, AMB Property Corporation (NYSE: AMB) the silver and Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. (NYSE: ARE) the bronze. Camden Property also earned gold in the Web site competition, followed by iStar Financial Inc. (NYSE: SFI) with silver and Strategic Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: BEE) took bronze.
For the small cap companies, the winners in the management discussion and analysis category were Gramercy Capital Corporation (NYSE: GKK) with the gold, EastGroup Properties, Inc. (NYSE: EGP) the silver and Legacy Hotels REIT (NYSE: LGY) the bronze. For the presentation and design category, Extra Space Storage, Inc. (NYSE: EXR) was awarded gold, Parkway Properties, Inc. (NYSE: PKY) the silver and Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. (NYSE: SHO) the bronze. In the Web site competition, American Campus Communities, Inc. (NYSE: ACC) was awarded gold, Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. (NYSE: AHT) the silver and Sunstone again walked away with the bronze.
