Thomas S. Olinger, former vice president, corporate controller with Oracle Corporation, joined AMB Property Corporation (NYSE: AMB) as chief financial officer, a position formerly held by Michael A. Coke, who will retire from the company after a transition period. Senior Vice President, Finance Nina Tran was named chief accounting officer.

Joel Braun, a 20-year real estate veteran, was promoted to executive vice president and chief investment officer at Acadia Realty Trust (NYSE: AKR). Braun served as senior vice president at Acadia since its formation in 1998.

J. Lindsay Freeman, chief operating officer with Archstone-Smith (NYSE: ASN), will retire at the end of 2007. Chief Financial Officer Charles E. Mueller, Jr. will become the new COO. Gerald R. Morgan, the current senior vice president-national operations, will assume the CFO role. Jack R. Callison, Jr., executive vice president-east operations, will assume a newly created position, president-U.S. operations.

AvalonBay Communities, Inc.’s (NYSE: AVB) senior vice president of development Bill McLaughlin received the Rental Housing Association of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board’s Industry Excellence Award for his contributions to Boston’s rental housing industry.

Darryl M. Dunn, former corporate controller with Talk America, Inc., was appointed as Brandywine Realty Trust’s (NYSE: BDN) new vice president, chief accounting officer and treasurer. Robert Juliano has joined as vice president and chief information officer, having previously served as chief information officer for American Financial Realty Trust (NYSE: AFR). Karen M. Heisler, the former senior vice president of human resources and administrative services with Pegasus Communications, joined BDN as the senior vice president, human resources.

In January, BRE Properties, Inc. (NYSE: BRE) announced the promotion of Edward J. Lange, Jr. to executive vice president and chief operating officer. Previously Lane served as executive officer. In February, Kerry Fanwick, co-founder and former partner at Miller & Fanwick, LLP, joined BRE as senior vice president, general counsel.

Mary Jensen joined Douglas Emmett (NYSE: DEI) as vice president of investor relations. Previously, Jensen served as a vice president with the Financial Relations Board.

Andrew Kelton has been promoted from senior vice president to regional senior vice president of Duke Realty Corporation’s (NYSE: DRE) mid-Atlantic group. John Macsherry has joined DRE as vice president, leasing and development. Prior to joining Duke, Macsherry served as senior vice president with Trammell Crow Company.

Thomas Hendrick, the Kor Group’s executive vice president of acquisitions and development, has been appointed to FelCor Lodging Trust Incorporated’s (NYSE: FCH) board of directors. David W. McGivney, previously a vice president of tax and treasury with Valor Communications Group, joined Felcor as vice president of income tax.

Glimcher Realty Trust (NYSE: GRT) promoted Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary George A. Schmidt to executive vice president and chief investment officer. In February, Kim A. Rieck, formerly with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP, joined Glimcher as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary.

In January, Health Care Property Investors (NYSE: HCP) announced several company promotions. Former Director-Corporate Controller Reid Babin is the new vice president-corporate controller. Jose Castro, previously the director of financial reporting is now vice president-accounting. Gregory Doyle previously served as vice president to senior vice president-chief accounting officer. Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary Edward J. Henning was recently named executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Vice President-Legal Brian J. Maas is now the senior vice president-associate general counsel. Stephen Robie is the new senior vice president-financial planning and analysis, previously serving as vice president. Former vice president-acquisitions/dispositions Timothy Schoen is now senior vice president-investment management. Former Senior Vice President-Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Mark A. Wallace was appointed executive vice president-chief financial officer and treasurer.

Wendy Simpson, has been appointed president and CEO with LTC Properties, Inc. (NYSE: LTC). Simpson has been with the company since 1995. LTC Founder Andre C. Dimitriadis will serve as executive chairman, and Pamela Kessler is now senior vice president and chief financial officer. Kessler joined LTC as vice president and controller in 2000.

Jeff Schwartz, CEO of ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), was named the 2006 “Developer of the Year” by Commercial Property News. CPN also recognized Schwartz as “Industrial Property Executive of the Year.”

Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. (NYSE: SHO) completed the restructuring of its management team, appointing Steven Goldman as the new chief executive officer, effective in March. Goldman who previously worked as executive vice president of acquisitions and development with Global Hyatt Corporation, is taking over for Robert A. Alter, who will be chairman of the REIT’s board. Former Chief Financial Officer Jon Kline will serve as president, and former Senior Vice President of Finance Kenneth Cruse is the company’s new CFO.

Ajai Nair, former vice president of information technology with Brandywine Realty Trust (NYSE: BDN), is the new vice president and chief information officer with U-Store-It Trust (NYSE: YSI).

Paul Marcuse, former chief executive with AXA Real Estate Investment Managers, has joined the London-based UBS Global Asset Management as property head.

Leo F. Wells, III has resigned as Wells REIT I president. Wells will continue to serve as Well’s chairman and as a board director. Donald A. Miller, former vice president with Wells Real Estate Funds and senior vice president with Wells Capital, will now serve as president and CEO.

Debra Cafaro, CEO of Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) has been elected to the lumber company Weyerhaeuser’s board of directors.

Samuel Gorlitz Shopping Center Pioneer Samuel Gorlitz Dies

One of the co-founders of Federal Realty Investment Trust (NYSE: FRT), Samuel J. Gorlitz, died Jan. 5 at age 89. Gorlitz established Federal Realty, one of the nation’s first retail REITs, in 1962, with a portfolio of three properties located in the Washington D.C. area. Now, the REIT has approximately 18.6 million square feet of properties primarily located in California, the Mid Atlantic and Northeast.

Gorlitz remained on Federal Realty’s Board of Trustees for 20 years following his retirement in 1979. In 1999, one of the REIT’s key properties was renamed Sam’s Park & Shop to commemorate his years of service to the REIT. Gorlitz is survived by his wife and two daughters.
