Quarter End	Weekday		# Days	Ers	This chart shows the weekly cycle of earnings releases for the first quarter of 2004. The first releases occur 10 days after the quarter end. Clearly there is a reluctance to release results on either Mondays or Fridays. Perhaps that reluctance should be revisited given that on Wednesday April 28 there were 14 releases, followed by 15 conference calls the next day! On Thursday May 6, 18 conference calls are scheduled - great if you've something to hide perhaps but not if you want to receive focussed investor attention.
