American Tower Corp. (NYSE: AMT) said Tom Bartlett will retire from his positions as president, CEO, and director of the board of directors, effective Feb. 1, 2024. Bartlett joined American Tower in 2009 as executive vice president and CFO, and became its CEO and director of the board in 2020.

The company named Steve Vondran to succeed Bartlett as president and CEO, at which time Vondran will also be appointed as a director of the board. To facilitate the transition, the board also appointed Vondran to the role of executive vice president, global chief operating officer for the interim period, effective Nov. 1 until Feb. 1, 2024.

Vondran has served as American Tower’s executive vice president and president, U.S. tower division, which includes the U.S. data center business, since August 2018, and has held various leadership positions since joining the company in 2000, including senior vice president, general counsel for the U.S. tower division, from 2010 to 2018.

Eugene (Bud) Noel, American Tower’s current senior vice president and COO, U.S. tower division, will become the new executive vice president and president, U.S. tower division, effective Nov. 1.

Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HHH) announced that Elena Verbinskaya has been appointed chief accounting officer and designated principal accounting officer for the company. Verbinskaya joined Howard Hughes in 2023 as executive vice president of accounting. Prior to joining Howard Hughes, she served as vice president of financial reporting and accounting integration at IPSCO Tubulars Inc., a North American division of TMK Group.

The company also named Anton Nikodemus as CEO of Seaport Entertainment, a newly formed division comprising the company's entertainment-related assets in New York and Las Vegas. He most recently served as president and COO of CityCenter for MGM Resorts International, where he oversaw operations for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Vdara Hotel & Spa, and ARIA Resort & Casino. He was also responsible for the creation and development of the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino in Maryland and the MGM Springfield in Massachusetts.

Invitation Homes Inc. (NYSE: INVH) said it is making several leadership changes to address continued growth and prepare for future expansion, including the addition of a dedicated Build-to-Rent (BTR) team. As part of those changes, Alicia MacPhee, senior vice president, field division, will move into the newly created role of senior vice president, BTR asset management.

Phillips Edison & Co., Inc. (Nasdaq: PECO) said Devin Murphy will step down as president effective Dec. 31. Murphy, who joined PECO in 2013, will serve as managing director of investment management through his planned retirement at the end of June 2024. Effective Jan. 1, 2024, Bob Myers, currently the company’s COO and executive vice president, will become president, and Joe Schlosser, currently senior vice president of portfolio management, will become COO and executive vice president.

SL Green Realty Corp. (NYSE:SLG) said Andrew Mathias will leave his role as president at the end of his current employment agreement on Dec. 31. Mathias, who joined the company as a vice president in 1999, will remain as a member of the board of directors and will serve in an advisory role to the CEO.

SL Green also named Garrett Armwood as vice president of government affairs. Armwood most recently served as the deputy state director to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer. This new position, the company said, will help SL Green expand its role supporting New York City’s recovery, as it works with city and state officials to advocate for important initiatives including affordable housing programs that incentivize the conversion of office properties to residential use, and the ongoing reimagination of central business districts as 24/7 destinations.

Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE:VNO) announced the appointment of Jason Kirschner as the company’s executive vice president–head of capital markets. Prior to joining Vornado, Kirschner was managing director–finance & capital markets at Hudson Realty Capital, an RXR affiliate, and previously served at Brookfield Properties for over 10 years, most recently as senior vice president–finance & capital markets.
