Nareit CEO Steve Wechsler participated in a panel session at FIBRA Day 2022 in New York City on Oct. 26. The event, hosted by AMEFIBRA, brought together real estate leaders from Mexico and the U.S., with speakers focusing on key topics impacting the industry and investment conditions looking ahead.
AMEFIBRA, the Mexican Association of Real Estate FIBRAs (REITs), represents 15 publicly-listed FIBRAs from different economic sectors in Mexico, as well as other real estate markets with relevant income. FIBRA Day 2022 drew more than 200 international real estate experts and investors and promoted the investment into Mexican REITs.
In a conversation with Jorge Ávalos Carpinteyro, VP of AMEFIBRA and CEO of FIBRA Mty, Wechsler discussed the future of FIBRAs in Mexico and the direction REITs are heading in the United States. The interview session, titled “Past, Present and Future Overview of Mexican FIBRAs,” closed out the annual event.
